Corgi OOC 45102. The MCW Metrobus was introduced in 1978 as a competitor to Leyland's Titan. It used the infamous Gardner 6LXB engine coupled to a Voith automatic transmission, though later models used Rolls Royce Eagle and Cummins L10 engines. The majority of the build was sold as complete buses but Alexander and Northern Counties also bodied the chassis. London Transport was a major customer with over 1,400 placed in service; the other major user was West Midlands PTE with over 1,100. They have proved a popular and strong design through both Mk.I and Mk.II types and hundreds are still in service across many parts of Britain. In Stock: 1 Price: £10.00
